T.J. Tario wins Southwest Division Jr. High School Composition Competition

T.J. Tario, piano student of Ellen Masaki, was selected as the winner of the Southwest Junior High School Composition Competition. T.J.'s piece, written for solo piano, is entitled "Makika" (Mosquito).

MTNA Winners' Fundraiser Concert

The student winners of the Hawaii state level MTNA Competitions will perform in a Fundariser Concert on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 4 pm at Seto Hall, Iolani School. $10 General Admission. A portion of the proceeds will go to student awards for travel to the division competition in Tucson, Arizona.
